Large Quillon Dagger in Renaissance Style in Elaborate and Beautifully Forged Guard By Lloy12" blade length, overall length of 18.75", 1.25" wide at ricasso. Double hollow ground blade is plain but polished to mirror brightness. Straight quillons inset with mother of pearl roundels. Quillon block masterfully filed with two thumb-rings on each side. Guard with half basket in polished steel with re-curved openings. Spirally fluted ebony grip with steel chain. Pommel filed in quillon block in the form of a flower. Masterfully filed pommel nut inset with mother of pearl and further inset with four mother-of-pearl inlays. Scabbard pierced with cross on the throat and tip with red velvet background displaying through. Scabbard with black shagreen with matching file work and marked "Hale." This dagger is the dependent on another in this collection with similar design, with subtle differences. This is a must have in this masterfully created collection. Hale

13.25" spear point double edge hollow ground blade length, 21.75" overall length, 1.25" wide at widest point. Lloyd Hale created this lovely weapon that has a plain blade polished to a mirror brightness. Straight quillons measuring 9.25" across with inset with mother-of-pearl roundels at each end. Quillon block filed in various patterns of solid steel. Simple plain spiral ebony grip. Pommel inset with four pearl panels and one bezeled with mother of pearl roundel. Lovely dagger contained in a perfectly matched steel mounted sheath. The throat and tip pierced with a cross backed by a red velvet background. Body of scabbard with black wrapped shagreen. The tip of the scabbard flowing to a flower like roundel featuring mother-of-pearl inset. Elegant unique creation by the master Lloyd Hale.
Beautiful and Ornate Large Quillon Dagger by the Master Lloyd Hale
13.75" spear point blade, 20" overall length, 1.5" wide at widest point on blade. Bright mirror polished hollowed ground blade with large down turned quillons. Blade is filed near the ricasso. Quillon block decorated with malachite plaque marked "Hale" on the obverse side. Large coffin-style grip inlaid with mother-of-pearl and malachite. Grip is filed on each side of the decorations. Pommel cap decorated with inset and bezel malachite.
Lloyd Hale's Updated Version of a 16th Century Battle Axe
20.5" overall length, crested axe blade meaures 6" across, fluke is 3.25" across. Axe blade pierce with 9 concentric circles. Fluke beautifully filed with edge and point. Axe shaft of twisted polished steel. Guard in "D" form with extra fighting fluke attached to guard. Grip spiral fluted with finger rest. Ending in a pommel of polished steel decorated with floral scroll engraved silver serving. Pommel at the top marked in script "Hale." Great updated version of classic renaissance battle axe.
An Extremely Attractive and Masterfully Conceived Quillon Dagger by the Renowned Lloyd Hale
An extremely attractive example of Lloyd Hale's mastery of the custom knife maker's craft. This quillon dagger sports a 10" spear point blade length with an overall length of 16.25" overall length. Blade measures 1.5" wide at ricasso. Double-edged blade with central ridge is scalloped for half the length of the blade. Hale's mark is on the back side of the blade. Quillon block with down turned quillons to a roundels filed and with agate stone. The quillon with German silver inlaid with agate stones. Flat grip inlaid on all four sides with inset agate stone panels. Fluted pommel set with an oblong agate stone at apex.
Unique and Splendid Fantasy Dagger By the Renowned Lloyd Hale
12" spear point blade length, 17.75" overall length, 3.25" wide at widest point. This lovely custom knife is unusual in that the quillons are down-turned blades acting as a border or frame to the hollow ground blade. Central blade inlaid with malachite and what appears to petrified wood. The quillon block deeply chiseled and grip inlaid with petrified wood and malachite. Steel pommel filed and bezel with malachite. This is truly a spectacular example of Hale's art that will appeal to the collector of customer knives or anyone that appreciates art work in stone.
