Description: Josef Rusnak is a master of carving in steel and fine metals. This gentleman's knife shows off his skills at their best - from the integral damascus blade and carved handle to the gold inlaid flowers to the sterling silver sheath. All are majestic. The Damasteel damascus blade was deeply etched for exceptional contrast. A hollow grind creates an elegant, swooping curve as the blade moves into the rest of the knife. Wood-bark carving and texturing travels along the spine and around the handle. The highly detailed, integral handle is carved from the same piece of stainless Damasteel damascus and shows lifelike leaves, branches, and blossoms. The flowers have been defined with inlaid and carved red gold. On the left side, a spider lies in wait. On the right, a fly is about to climb onto the web. The carving is exceptional, with pierced details incorporated into both sides of the handle. The gnarled tree that forms the framework of the knife is exceptionally life-like and creates the mood that is consistently maintained throughout the knife.
