Got my full refund from Adam Russell yesterday and the Commander arrived in the mail (priority insured) today.

While the people who manufactured this fake Commander are POS, the knife isn't a POS. Oh, it's no Emerson but it's a damn good fake. Wouldn't fool Eagle1 but me who hasn't had a Commander for a few years would have been fooled for a few minutes if I hadn't known before hand.
虽然生产这把假指挥官的人是个一砣屎，可是这把刀却不是。它不是一把emerson, 但却是一把很TMD不错的仿品。虽然不能欺骗眼光犀利的老手，但是如果不是事先知道它是假的，像我这样的拥有一把指挥官多年的人也会被一时骗住。
The box is excellent. You can't tell it's a fake until you compare it to a real Emerson box. Emerson boxes are white card stock, white on the inside. This box was natural finish cardboard on the inside. The exterior in quality, finish and color is a near perfect copy.

The Emerson warranty info is old style, remember this is supposedly a year 2000 model. It is not a photo copy but special printed. Paper is cheaper and the type isn't as crisp. How do I know they printed it not copied it? Emerson is spelled "Enerson" in a couple of places. The contact addresses and telephone numbers are correct.

The knife itself has been well described but it is damn good until you look close. Replace the Torx screws with phillips, move the logo to it's proper place on the blade, and you would fool anyone who hasn't owned an Emerson. A knowledgeable collector/user would see the grinds aren't crisp, the G-10 not G-10, the wave the wrong profile. The clip is good, better than others have noted, the liners are good, the pivot is good as is the back spacer. I didn't take it apart but the washers are cheaper not Nylatron but a neophyte wouldn't notice. The edge wasn't sharp but the asymetrical chisel/V grind was close to Emerson's.

This is worse than we thought. This isn't some run of the mill Chinese POS clone. This is a damn good fake and we'll probably see better ones soon. This isn't an annoyance to EKI's profits. This is a threat to Emerson's reputation as more of these get into the hands of people who don't know they are fakes.

I hope the bastards that are purpertrating this fraud don't read these posts because then they will know how to make a better fake.
